Getting started with Personal Training is easy; everything you need is right here on our website. The sections below describe what to expect and how to get started.
Why is the first stage of my Personal Training experience so important?
Did you know that 70-80% of people who start an exercise program drop out within the first two to three months? These are not good odds! It’s now widely accepted that the problem has nothing to do with the person but rather with the process. You see, most people who want to start exercising, just start.
Imagine if you wanted to build a house. You’d probably start out with an architectural plan first to know exactly what you wanted the finished product to look like.
Or what if you wanted to start a business? The banks would require a business plan first, right? They’d want to ensure that you’ve really thought it through carefully and you’ve got a good plan to enhance success.
Well, these same guidelines apply to exercise. You’ve got to have a plan for success. This is why the first few months of your Personal Training experience are so important. This is when most people drop out. So it’s our job to get you past this stage to the point where you’re experiencing great results – and that alone, will help to motivate you to keep going. But the problem is most people stop exercising before they even had the chance to see the changes to their body. We just won’t let that happen to you!
What happens before the first session?
You will complete a Client Information questionnaire. The information gathered in the questionnaire is critical to helping your Personal Trainer design the most individualized program for you. It takes into account your medical, injury and physical fitness history, your current lifestyle, your present level of fitness and type of activities, your nutritional habits and more.
Your trainer will be able to take this information along with your goals, interests and needs and create a custom-designed program that will make it easier for you to follow and achieve results. It will take you a bit of time to complete the questionnaire but we encourage you to be thorough in order to provide your Personal Trainer with all the tools necessary to really help you achieve your goals safely, effectively and permanently. And that way they won’t be wasting any time during your first session trying to gather information and instead can focus on the training program.
What happens in the first few sessions?
The first few sessions are the most important. This is when your Personal Trainer helps you lay a strong foundation that you can build upon.

Q: What One on One personal training option’s do you have?
A: Personal Training options are based upon the goals you desire. We offer one month packages and packages that recur every month at a better value.
When we meet you and perform a fitness evaluation, we suggest a weight loss goal that reduces body fat to a level where your blood sugar is stable, your blood pressure normalizes, your energy levels are stable, your metabolism is elevated, and all blood tests make you and your Doctor happy.
If weight loss isn’t your goal, our training can help you with other goals such as: Sport Specific Training, Body Maintenance, Improving your core and Helping you with post-rehab.
For instance. If you need to lose 30 pounds, we would recommend staying on our program anywhere from 4 to 8 months. Some of our clients have lost 30 pounds in 90 days. These clients applied our strategies and concepts consistently and with intense desire!
Even though we do recommend meeting with your trainer 3x a week, we have had some clients achieve results even on our 2x a week program as long as they were supplementing their workouts with exercise programs such as: Spinning, Red Zone Fitness Classes, Cardio Training at our studio or taking it outside with a jogging program.
*We do recommend 3 to 6 days of cardio training. A cardio prescription will be presented to you, based upon your fitness level and your fitness goals and you have full access to use our cardio equipment on workout days with your trainer and on days that you are not training with your trainer. Please check with us in regards to our hours of operation.
What if fat loss is not a goal, but I want to use a trainer?
If you are not concerned with Fat Loss, but want great workouts and you want to maintain your body composition, no problem. You’ll just pick the different program options to fit your budget and your life and that’s that.
What type of Exercise Equipment do you use?
We use so many workout tools in our training, you will never get bored and you will see and feel the results of our focused workouts.
We use many methods and protocols to keep the workouts challenging so you can achieve the goals you desire.
Q: Is There A Money Back Guarantee?
Absolutely! Rather then just take you through workouts, we are going to replace any misinformation or false beliefs you have and replace them with the ‘fitness truth’. Our system works because it incorporates 3 vital key elements that all have to be in place. If any one element is missing, results will be limited. If you are not happy with any of our programs Gables Fitness will provide a refund for the program package price.
Q: What types of clients do you work with?
A: Click here to see some of our clients in action.
A: We typically work with clients that want to reduce body-fat, lose weight, increase their strength, and develop a lean and toned physique. Our clients range from high school athletes focused on sports performance to middle age and men and women that want to look and feel their best, get fit, and improve their health. They’re typically “sick and tired” of being “sick and tired” and have finally decided it’s time to focus on making time for fitness (and their own health and well-being).
Q: How is working with you different from working with a trainer at my gym or health club? A: We don’t offer cookie-cutter programs and we NEVER just “give you a workout.” We are fitness professionals and pride ourselves in delivering exceptional service and helping our clients to get the best results possible with their health and fitness program.
This ensures that our clients not only get the best immediate results possible in the shortest period of time, but also develop the lifestyle habits required to maintaining those results over the long haul.
Q: What types of results can I expect to achieve in working with you?

Q: What’s included in your personal training programs?
A: All our programs include an initial testing and evaluation, resistance training and cardiovascular training program design, a review of flexibility, and coaching to work through the process – ensuring your success. The only separate fee is the cost of the nutritional counseling. This includes: a complete nutrition program design, meal plans, grocery list, and our nutritional guide to help re-educate you on supportive eating to help you achieve your results.
Q: It sounds like you cover a lot of information on nutrition. Why is nutrition important to my success?
A: We cover a lot of information on nutrition in our programs, because eating to fuel the body (and your metabolism) is the greatest “secret” to achieving maximum results from your fitness program. In fact, several of our clients had already been working out consistently for years with little to no results before they hired us. By simply changing their nutrition program- serious results came fast. If you’ve been slaving away at a fitness program and have not seen dramatic results from your efforts- we can help by focusing on the nutritional component in working with you.
Q: Do you have cardio equipment?
A: Absolutely and you have access to it for no additional charge. You have access to our complete line of cardio equipment. We always recommend cardio training right after your workouts with the trainer and of course on other days to burn the calories.
Q: I’m interested in working with you, what’s the best way to speak with you further?
A: By scheduling a consultation. We offer consultations by phone and in-person. Call our facility directly at 305.461.1090 to schedule your consultation today!
